The End – A Theatrical Reading & Juneteenth Bus Tour

This Juneteenth, join author and activist Jestina Weems for The End — a powerful one-woman staged reading that fuses poetic storytelling, raw memoir, and revolutionary fiction. Performed live at the historic Dwyer Cultural Center in Harlem, the show captures the heartache and hope of a daughter fighting for justice after the loss of her father to police brutality. The End is more than a performance — it’s a prayer, a protest, and a tribute to Black resilience. Through character-driven monologues, striking visuals, and moving dialogue, Jestina reclaims stolen voices and reimagines a future built on truth, healing, and liberation.
Immediately following the reading, guests are invited on a Black History Bus Tour through Harlem’s most iconic landmarks, honoring the ancestors, stories, and freedom fighters who paved the way.
